8.3 – A Journey Around Harveys Lake was inspired in the fall of 2014 when Sue spent several weeks at Harveys Lake painting scenes which included the historic buildings at Hansen’s, Pole 150, which were demolished that November.  Those autumn afternoon paint-outs inspired her quest to create a plein air painting “from or of” each one of the 311 poles located around the lake’s perimeter. In addition to the first group of paintings which were exhibited Labor Day weekend 2016, Sue has exhibited nearly one hundred new works each year, which culminated in the final exhibit, Labor Day weekend 2018.
